Trend or Treat

We invited all of our New York area design friends to join Stacy for a Trend Forecasting presentation at the D&D Building last week during Fall Market. It was a great success and we are so delighted to have had a great group join us. It's always such fun to start off a talk with mimosas and mini-treats!
Bright Colors are going to be a trend to watch unfold in the next year. Stacy also discussed other macro color trends in what our studio is calling; Spicy, Off-Black, Pastels and Optimistic. Here is what Stacy shared about Spicy: A globally influenced palette, including curries, paprika, & poppy seed that will appeal to our senses. Look for a shift in reds. Oranges are influenced by coral while Oxblood becomes a rich anchor. The spicier the better.

And an overview of what Stacy shared on the Pastel color trend; dusted, powdered and waxy, these pastels have entered the luxury sector through the use of waxed and coated materials. These dusted tints look great balanced by warm neutrals, Adding black or deeper accents root the palette.

A special shout out to a few of our twitter friends who attended the presentation, Editor at Large , Katie Sowrey, Robert Allen Design, and Shindy Chen. It was a pleasure connecting with you all!

Classic Rug Collection owner Barbara Barran and Stacy Garcia 'Cheers' to a great morning! Thank you Classic Rug Collection for hosting this wonderful event!
